When I had the opportunity to attend the American College of Sports Medicine meeting in Denver , Colo. , the end of May, we decided to head out west early and experience the Rocky Mountains . While I love to hike, I had never been hiking in a mountainous national forest before so I set my sites on hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Forest .

The Surgeon General on the State of the Nation 2006

I recently attend the 53 rd Annual Meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine in Denver . One of the highlights of the meeting was hearing the Surgeon General, Vice Admiral Richard Carmona, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S. discuss The State of the Nation: Celebration of the 10-Year Anniversary of the U.S. Surgeon General Report on Physical Activity and Health.
