ValuMarket adds home delivery to it's popular online grocery service

Too busy to cook because you are too busy to shop? Well, help is on the way. ValuMarket's popular and largely successful online grocery ordering system, Curbside Direct, has been expanded to include home delivery. Customers can now order their groceries delivered from the Hurstbourne Plaza ValuMarket on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Online delivery orders can be placed from ValuMarket's Mid City Mall location on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Groceries can be delivered to any customer's door for a nominal $5 charge within three miles. Each additional mile is only $1.00 more. ValuMarket's Curbside Direct Service is Louisville 's original and only full-service grocery ordering and delivery service which can be utilized from the convenience of any internet connection.

Customers can go to the ValuMarkets.com website, click on the "Shop Online" link, choose which location they wish to shop from, and then select from a full line of grocery, health and beauty, and household products. The customer can then schedule a date and time for either pick-up at the store or delivery to their home. Customers choosing delivery will receive a call before delivery to ensure the customer is available to receive their orders. Customers choosing to pick up their groceries can zip through a convenient drive-up lane where courteous associates place the already picked and packed groceries into their car.

James Neumann, Vice-President of Valu Market said, "We're essentially giving the customer the gift of time. We've taken the chore of walking the store looking for what you need out of the mix, allowing the customer to get other things done while we shop for them."

Customers can order everything from soup to nuts online, and specify extras like extra lean meat or green bananas if they choose. They can shop brand-name or store brand. Even the weekly sale items are available, at the sale prices. And they can save their shopping lists for future reference. Online customers will also have access to the extensive array of international foods and products they're used to seeing on ValuMarket's shelves.

If you don't have internet access, the stores will take orders over the phone.  Each store has certain days that they deliver on and would like to have call in orders the day before.  The fee is still $9.95 for delivery up to 3 miles and $1 per mile after that.  Retirement and assisted living homes cost $2.95 if they have 5 or more orders per week.  Call Derrick Robinson @ 423-7110 to set up a day and grocery order.

All the usual payment methods are available with pickup, including personal check, credit card and cash. Cash payments are excluded from the delivery option, however. Customers of the online service can even use their coupons.

ValuMarket currently operates five full-service grocery stores in the Louisville area. The ValuMarket family includes stores in the Mid City Mall, Hurstbourne Plaza , Outer Loop Plaza , Iroquois Manor and in Mt Washington, KY. ValuMarket has been meeting Louisville 's grocery needs since 1978.
