If your teen-ager needs or wants some outdoor adventures, Jefferson Memorial Forest offers the Teen Quest camp for ages 1315, which introduces kids to safe outdoor adventures beginning with challenges designed to teach how to work together in teams. Days two and three involve climbing the 50-foot Alpine Tower, learning to climb ropes and cross crevasses and canoeing. On day four, the participants go to Mammoth Cave and explore while learning caving techniques. They will camp out at Mammoth Cave and participate in a small service project before returning to the Forest. Campers will receive water bottles and T-shirts. The session is from June 25 June 19 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day. The cost is $175 per camper.

The first Saturday of each month, January through November. 9 a.m.12:30 p.m. Includes information about hiking gear, campfire cooking, archery, spring wildflowers, canoe basics and canoeing, bird watching, fishing, summer wildflowers, primitive skills and orienteering.
The second Friday of each month, February through November. 7 p.m. 9:30 p.m. Includes Sweetheart Night Hike, Walk in the Night Forest, Frog Calls and Toad Songs, Lore of Night Skies, Bats, Insects of the Night, Night Canoeing, Alpine Tower Climb, and Owls.
The first Saturday of each month, January through November. 9 a.m.12:30 a.m.
The fourth Friday of May, June, and July. 6 p.m. Friday8:30 a.m. Saturday. Fee: $20 per person. Includes: Camping Fun, American Explorers and Animals Nobody Loves.
The fourth Saturday each month May through September. 9 a.m.1:30 p.m.
